Popovers are a classic quick bread recipe that I make for my family all the time. The simple ingredients are easy to put together and in minutes you will have a fresh hot out of the oven bread that pairs great with any meal. Popovers can be flavored many different ways to compliment the meal you are making. This is a great recipe to use weekly to rotate through your food storage flour. Add this recipe to your family emergency preparedness plan. After you try this recipe, let me know how you like the results. Be sure to follow the popover rules: 1) Don’t open your oven after they are in 2) Don’t mix your batter mix early – mix the batter right before you fill the popover cups 3) Don’t fill the cups more than 1/2 full 4) Place the popover pan on a sheet tray or clean your oven. 1 Stick – Unsalted Room Temperature Butter 3 Large – Organic Eggs 1 1/2 Cups – Organic Whole Milk Room Temperature 1 1/2 Cups – Unbleached All Purpose Flour or Ground White Wheat 3/4 Teaspoon – Kosher Salt 1/4 Teaspoon – Baking Powder Join PREP every Monday for a new YouTube video post showing you how to bake delicious, homemade baked goods from scratch.
